Selling a home is tough. Many things go into it. There is preparing your home for the market both inside and out. There is staging your home. Pricing your home is the most important thing when it comes to getting your home sold. Marketing your home not only gives it the exposure, but also gives you a chance to communicate with prospective buyers to show them why they want to call your home their new home. The marketing of your home also involves the advertising. There are many avenues for that: Newspapers, the internet, signs, open houses, the multiple listing service. Some don't work. There are different ways of communicating with prospective buyers: Print, face to face, audio. You'll also need to consider negotiating the sale. It is very important to get to know why someone is buying a home. Selling invloves a maze of contracts and disclosures. Many parties are invloved in a real estate transaction: realtors, mortgage brokers, lenders, escrow companies, title companies, home inspectors, termite/pest inpsectors, handymen, contractors, notaries and many more. More posts to explain all this.
